Coldplay broadcast was a treat for fans Thank you to Coldplay for offering its sold-out show to people all over Southwestern Pennsylvania. When the band sold out all their seats at the A.J. Palumbo Center last Sunday, they made arrangements with WYEP-FM to carry the show live.

What a wonderful concept! With the cash from the ticket sales assured, the group made its show available to the rest of us for free.

Seems to me that professional sports teams do the same thing: If the game is sold out, they go ahead and broadcast the game. Wouldn't it be wonderful if other musicians and musical groups did the same thing? Imagine the promotional impact radio stations would enjoy by bringing concerts to their listening audience.

Thanks again, Coldplay and WYEP. We enjoyed it very much!
