I'm back home! It was soo great! Politik was great, and didn't expect ROL after it :O That was soo nice!
I was very late there, at seven o 'clock and was sooo close to the stage less then 5 meters!

A little story about it:
We where there at seven, waiting one hour and then it started, first there was another band that sounded realy good too. After that they removed their instruments and 15 minutes past nine it happend! Coldplay entered the stage to play Life in Technicolor. After it they played Violet Hill, his voice was realy good! And he let us end the song! Clocks was great with those lasers, and in In My Place Chris was 2 meters before me. Politik was my favorite and when it started, I knew it was the best day of my life.. The mistake in Death And All His Friends was funny and he started it over. What a band! Fantastic!

it was also my first Coldplay concert : I smiled a lot, cried a few, sang, danced, mostly sitting, except on VLV and Lost, although for Lost I was the only one standing in my area well I am glad somebody else posted the set list. I could not remember it right now. Loved COL, Strawberry Swing, Politik and Reign of Love so nice together, Scientist was well done, beautiful voice tonight there, the Hardest Part, so happy to see Chris with his piano in real, Yellow, 42, Fix You. Really appreciated the VLV trancy remix.
Pfew so good it is going to be hard not seeing them soon again.

I had a seat a bit far for the concert and could only see their faces on the screens. Although the music got me shaking, and crying, and dancing. And to see them move in real. Chris's walk is so .. English. Lovely.
And then this miracle happened, thanks to Carla and Chavi for wanting to stay when the security told us everyone was gone. The german vans were there so, we waited. 2 hours. We got wet but not soaked as such. There was only the 3 of us at the players door. We got to talk to lovely Pete of Oxfam, and also to Reno bass player of Albert H. Jr. Chris must have been working on this letter about the EP. He came out at 1:30 am. We were nearly frozen and then we melted.

Part 1
I arrived at the venue at about 14:30, My sister and brother in law held a space for me in the front of the line which was really nice of them… also tnx to all the people who let me in there! My sister had been preparing all these people saying I was actually their biggest fan but I just couldn’t make it!
Chavi arrived at 16:07 (was in my texts) I was all weeeeeeeeee first time I met her and I was just sooo happy My stalker soulmate! Unfortunately some people from the Ahoy came in just before her and sort of closed the lines securing the front row people which was good for us… but not for Chavi, she had to stand a bit further away So I told her to run run run like hell and we’d keep a space for her up front Lauren (Lauve) arrived quite soon after and we surprised her with the fact Chavi was there (she had a feeling but she wasn’t sure) Lauren had a seat and so she was able to stand with Chavi so she wouldn’t be alone.. although I think chavi made a dutch friend in line who was very supportive…
18.30 doors opening awfull security woman held me and my sister up for too long! Made us show our camera’s while other people from behind us were going through!.. but it was okay when we got in… Tim was up at the fence and held a spot for me! My sister was okay standing behind us. I turned as soon as I got in and tried to climb a bit up the fence waving and yelling CHAVIIIIIIIIIIIIII. At first there was a woman between us and we asked if she could let her trough cause we were together, but she was saying how she should have been there earlier… after a couple of minutes though she realized we really were together and she let Chavi through a bit and she was able to stand right behind me. (so thanks for that!) I brought some blue and red balloons and Chavi and I decided to blow them up… and write things on it with marquer.. I think we annoyed some people.. so sorry for that but we wrote coldplaying.com and people read it soo that was good! Also wrote: thump a bass, hump the bass player… and Phil is hot! We threw most of them into the venue but kept those I wrote in our hands for the show…
20:30 right on time Albert Hammond JR.. I never heard anything before but I liked it! The bass player was really enthusiastic and encouraged us to clap along.. chavi and I did and he looked at us in approvement… we figured he’s the bass player and tried to throw the balloon with the humping on stage… it made it but only stayed there for a sec (you’ll think who cares.. but it’s important later!)
Part 2
Albert left and we were waiting again… couldn’t wait for Jay-z to start!!! And then he did… chavi and I were going nuts but most people didn’t understand it would start right after!!!
LIT: it might be my favorite song from the album (can’t wait to get the EP) They were starting together again and laughing.. Chris teased jonny a little whheeee Violet Hill It’s really great live… love to hear everybody scream IF YOU LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVVVEEE MEE!
- Clocks: I love this song and I really want crazy…
- In my place… Time for some ramp of love action!!! Videos should be great cause my sister filmed, so did chavi and I did we all got some different views I think! It was all cuteness when chris bowed to let jonny on his ramp.. Plus the song is amazinggg YEAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH
- Speed of sound: my boyfriend loves this song so I called him during I have to say I miss Guy’s piano playing in it! but you know what can you do? Still a great song
In between the camera guy in front of us asked us to hold up the Chavi’s sign and we were on the big screen wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
- Cemetries of London: the moment I;ve been waiting for: I hadn’t seen any of the videos (yes that was hard) and I really loved the live version.. people sang along good and off course I enjoyed Guy at the piano!
- Chinese sleep chant… so great live coz chris dances funny and Guy rocks his ass off! Weeee!
- 42 Chris fucked up the end a bit and did the last part acoustic at the piano again.. VERY GOOD!
- Fix you!! Yeahhhh I only filmed the beginning coz I needed to jump around during this song! Amazing amazing amazing amazing!
- Strawberry swing I had forgotten this was back on the setlist and so I was a little surprised and VERY happy about it… also I can’t believe how long Guy holds up his hand and clapss theman must have MUSCLE
Time for B-stage… I couldn’t see that much but it was okay.. I never heard the talk remix before I LOVED it!
- The hardest part… I’ve always loved this song, and while Chris sang his bit I turned around and watched guy He came over to jonny and sat down together.. I think they saw chavi and me taking pics of them…
- Postcards from far away… such lovely background music to drool over Guy…
- Viva la vida: dance dance dance sing sing sing!
- Lost: yeahhh Chris goofy dancing.. and Guy playing drums. What more could a person want?
- The scientist/death will never conquer: sing a long!! I love it chavi and I turned around and pointed at the area we knew they’d be (someone told us) nobody got it at first but then were amazed when we were right!) I loveeeee will singing and chis says the sweetest things about him!
- Viva remix (why does it say talk on the setlist?) tried to do the cell phone thing… let’s just say dutch people are boring…. No ooohing either!!!
- Politik…. Jump jump jump jump! Great live
- Lovers in japan… time for butterflies!!! Weeeeeee just wanted to enjoy this but I couldn resist taping some of it best song on the album I think and I love it even better live
- Death and all his friends: ohhnooo! Almost the end! haven’t heard it live yet so great!!!! Jonny still can’t do his singing part.. it’s cute
- The first goodbye! Jonny came to our side and I think he read chavi’s sign which I was holding up he threw some guitar picks and Tim almost caught one.. but it bounced out of his hand again… it laned on his shoulder and the guy behind him stole it!! Grrrrrr
Also… bowing is HOTTT
- Yellowww: weeee thanked us in dutch again verrry cute! Then he madeus sad by saying they probably wouldn’t play in Holland again for at least a year maybe even two…
Then Chris made a big jump and Guy was laughing at him the cutenesssss!!!
- Oh no the escapist… goodbye again… I yelled so hard for jonny to throw more picks(sorry about that)… and he did!!! Just not at us… to the guys next to us (coldplayer?)
But then it was all okay when will threw his stick!!! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee The camera man came straight to me and chavi and gave us his setlist… then I was busy taking a pick of my sis and tim, when chavi got Jonny’s setlist!!! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee again!

Part 3
We couldn’t get outside fast enough… I wanted to get a tourbook but the line was too big… so chavi and I decided to stalk immediately but I ran into my boss… and then my collegue who were asking about us and my boss saw me on the screen she told me she’d buy my Antwerp tickets from me she wanted to go again so badly!! Cutteee! But then we were like.. we should goo stallkkkkkkk!! Were outta here! My sister and tim came along with us and we met Lauren again at a spot we agreed to before the show… the tourbusses were right around the corner and easy accesable…
I remembered from a R#42 blog that they were driving around in vans with german plates, and I saw I van lke the one I saw at brixton.. so while everybody hung back I went to check the plates.. and they were…. GERMANN weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee I went to get Chavi and the rest and I was like we stay near this door and were not leaving until these vans are gone!!! Period! I had my marker and rush of blood to the head cd booklet ready! So now we wait… we saw the afro woman.. ( I think she’s Kelly chief of security that R#42 mentioned before?)
And I told everybody that she was there at brixton when Guy and jonny came out and now I was sure at least somebody was inside! Weeeee! A lot of people passed us by, also someone with an Oxfam jacket and Chavi said: ‘Tnx for your blogs!’ he turned around and said: ‘what?’ and then I recognized him and it clicked I said:’ you’re Pete right?’ He was in utter surpise and was like.. uhmm yeah how do you know?!?! So I said you’re famous too! We always read your blogs they’re really great, he seemed so flattered he had some fans! And he came over to us and we chatted for quite some time! He told us a lot of thing, first we asked if he got a lot of signatures and he was very pleased and talked about that.. than we asked about touring with the band.. some security passed us by saying we should leave cause the band had left with a police escort! First I said: don’t lie man I see the van I know someone is back there but he insisted and then I said well doesn’t matter cause were talking to Pete right now!
Then of course we had to ask if he knew anybody wass till inside… he said he wasn’t sure… and I just blurted out: could you check… so rude.. but I took it back immediately! We told him we’d be going to Antwerp tomorrow and he said well then I’ll probably see you there! Then he went to get a shower and left us again.. Some guys from albert’s band came out and we recognized the bassplayer! Chavi told him we were clapping for him and he was like owwh yeah I remember then I told him we’d thrown a balloon on stage for him especially and he said ooh no I missed it! (we didn’t tell him what it said though) and we’d be at the Antwerp show as well, he was really impressed and asked us to bring balloons again so he could find us and hook us up with a guitar pick or a drumstick or something! Soo sweet!
We then asked to take his picture and I said: we don’t even know your name! he said: call me what ever you like…. So chavi.. quick as she was said: Okay Judy! he then went back in.. and my sister and tim left cause they were tired and it was cold… it also started to rain… Tim gave us a piece of plastic before he left and his cd booklet.. just in case..! we stood under the piece of plastic and waited…. Another security guard kept opening the door and looking at us… by the 3rd time I was like: yeah we’re stil here… were die hard were not going anywhere! He then started talking to us asking us where we were from and he turned out to be dutch so I spoke to him for a little while, and asked him if we were waiting for no reason, he said oh the rest have left, but HE is still inside… what d o you mean he? Chris??!?!?!?! Also one of the vans left with miller and some woman.. we said hi to miller and thanked him for the blog and the spreadin the love sign… but I guess he was a bit rushed.. Kelli (?) told the driver he needed to come back again for someone else (chris maybe) He said: yeah I’m pretty sure I’ll go check if you want… uhmmm YEAHHHHH He came back and confirmed! Weeeeeeeee chris still there! We were meeting chris!! In the mean time the bassist from alberts band came back and brought us 2 setlists and signed them, said his name was Reno.. he ffelt sorry cause he didn’t have anything for lauren, went back inside and got a tour schedule (VERY HELPFUL L BTW) and so sweet of him to do that! The van that had gone came back… and so we wait
Then Pete came back out and I said hey pete: are you nice and clean ?(don’t start.. I know…) And he said Oh your still here! we chatted some more (did I mention how nice he was?) And then the van pulled up to the door… a lotta things happened quickly and pete said: I ‘ll leave you alone cause someone who might still be inside is coming out now and I don’t want to ruin your chance… CUTEEEE! We said bye and then the door opened….
Part 4
It was Vicky. chavi said Bye and she said bye back and seemed a bit surprised… we thank her for all she does while she got in the van… they drove off, and I realized there was another van waiting… Kelli was outside and somebody was going in and she said: just don’t go in there cause He’s gonna take a shower and something about ten minutes… What??!?! He ??!?!? shower?!?!?! 10 minutes!!! So I just plain asked: did you say 10 minutes and she said: oohh no I’m just full of it… yeah… About 10 minutes later… the driver came out again.. pulled the van up and showtime!!! WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE E Camera;s ready… caps of marquers… on your places get set GO! I saw Chris inside.. wearing his BARACK shirt and I noticed Lauren was gone.. she didn’t realize it would happen NOW so I yelled LAUREN GET YOU BUTT OVER HERE! He’s coming out NOW He came out and his face was all surprise and flatter, there’s still people here? He probably said multiple times.. aww you waited so long in the cold! And rain He signed my rush of blood to the head booklet first, and asked me for my name: It’s Carla, and he said that’s with a C right? Yeah that’s right then I asked: I don’t mean to be rude but could you sign this one for Tim? Which he did! And said: oh no it’s okay! We told him the gig was awesome! And I said I loved his shirt about a gazillion times! Lauren asked about his cold and he thanked her and said it was much better he signed her T-shirt, and someone dropped the cap of the marker.. Chris picked it up for us… such a gentleman!! I was like leave it it’s just the cap! Think he handed it back to Lauren (right?) He also signed Chavi’s banner and made a little face! We asked to take pictures, and Chavi said her battery was dead so I said it’s okay my camera is still working so I gave it to her and she took a pic of me, mine and chris’ face are probably weird cause I think we were talking about Barack and how he should win, and that we got all excited about the shirt when we saw it on the Lyon blog I took a pic of chavi and the it turned out my battery was about empty as well so I quickly took a pic of him and Lauren and he was getting to the van We told him we’d come to Antwerp tomorrow and he said I’ll look for you or see you then not sure… either way COOOL I told him to say HI to the others from us and he said he would, and I also told him to tell Guy he owed me a signed brixton T-shirt and he said: Yeah I know… (he doesn’t but okay) And that was it.. he got in and they drove off, we waved and lauren said Chris was knocking on the window letting us know he saw us cause the windows were black although I didn’t hear that I thought it was the cutes thing EVER we stayed calm until that moment! We were all WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE I could hardly believe I had been that calm I saw the security guy that got us info and knocked n the window showing the signatures and blowing him a kiss… (yeah maybe that was too much) He came outside again and asked us to go for drinks… but we were so tired, and we needed to take lauren to the station soo we jumped around the parking lot screaming and dancing to my car! Time to make a review/short story about my trip I guess.. it’s been a week now. Aww, time flies ! it’s gonna be quite similar to what Carla said so you know the story..
Friday, 3rd October, early morning, I took my train to Paris to get another train to Rotterdam ! that’s insane.. I’m skipping uni to see Coldplay in The Netherlands Woow ! Plus, my sister just called me and she’s in labor and about to give birth.. and I’m not there for her. Aww.. So the trip is LONG, and I don’t get that much sleep .. too excited for that!
3:36pm I’m in Rotterdam !! That city’s AMAZING, I’m impressed ! gotta find the subway to go the The Ahoy.. People are SO nice and helpful. Thanks to two very nice men I managed to get to the venue safely ! OMG, I’m there and I can see Carla waving at me from far away ! Weee ! so we met for the first time and I felt like very close already ! She’s AWESOME, Carla you’re AWESOME ! I’m waiting in the line a little behind her, about 20 people between us. And then I got a phone call from my sister who wanted to tell me to enjoy as much as possible and that she understood that I had to go and couldn’t be there with her ! Btw, it’s a girl (I know it’s not really Coldplay related but it made my day even better, so it’s important for me that this part’s included in the story !) I almost cried.. Later, still waiting I met that group of women, they were crazy but in a nice way. I talked a lot to one of them and told her about the previous concerts I attended, and she was so impressed that she nicely told me and kept repeating that she would definitely let me take her spot if she ended up being in front of me ! HOW NICE ! Thanks Sally (I think that’s how you spell it..) !
6:35pm they finally opened the door. No security to stop me, no one checked my bag so I ran and tried to find Carla calling my name. At first, that lady between us wouldn’t let me go with Carla. But later, she understood that we had to be together and let me go in front of her. So I was second row, just behind Carla ! I told you Dutch people are THE BEST ! We were sitting on the floor with our balloons writing funny little notes on them as ‘thump a bass, hump the bassplayer’, ‘spreading the R#42 love’, ‘Phil is hot’, ‘thanks Coldplaying.com’ ..etc.. I think people were a bit annoyed.. but who cares! I cant remember the time, but then Albert Hammond Jr came on stage ! Oh it was really nice ! and we saw Reno (whose name we didn’t know at that time) and he saw us clapping (we were probably the only ones with Carla’s sister at some point haha!) and waving balloons. It was GREAT ! But I couldn’t wait to see Coldplay for the 5th time in 33 days ! And then COLDPLAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Always as intense as the first time you see them. You’re excited, scared, happy, thrilled, worried but overall overwhelmed with joy ! And it’s even better because you share the same feeling with 10 000 people at the same time !
Highlights of the show : -Life in Technicolor : the crowd go nuts ! and you’re full of energy, even after a long trip by train, or very long hours of waiting outside the venue ! -Clocks : awesome live, I’m sure you’ll all agree ! -SOS : The cameraman wants to film my banner ‘Nothing matters except life and the music Coldplay make’ and put it on the screens at each side of venue ! OMG ! we got so excited about it ! THANKS A LOT FOR DOING THAT ! -CSC : I cant get over this song ! especially live ! I love it ! -B-stage part, always nice! And it’s the right to time to just lean on the fences or someone and just breathe, because you know you’re gonna need ALL your energy for Viva which is coming next ! Haha! -Guy and Jonny having a laugh on the main stage while Chris is doing his thing on the B-stage. -Viva la vida and Lost! How can they not be highlights !?! -Politik : time to give everything you have left ! it really really is one of the best thing live ! -Lovers in Japan : OF COURSE ! the butterflies awwww ! -Yellow : all four of them laughing at something, they always crack up ! it’s priceless to see ! -The cameraman coming to us and giving his setlist to Carla. Carla’s brother in law getting Will’s drumstick. AND Matt giving me Jonny’s setlist that he held in his mouth OMG haha !
Again, AMAZING CONCERT ! The band’s always GREAT and really into it even though they’re fucking exhausted ! They’re giving us so much when on stage ! You gotta love them for that !
After the show, we (Carla, Lauren and myself) went to the backstage entrance and waited a LONG TIME ! People were coming in and out and a lot wondered what the fuck we were waiting for.. DUH isn’t it obvious, stop looking at us like that you prick ! Just kidding ! Most of them were really nice and answered when we said Good evening and everything. And then, Pete from Oxfam showed up. I HAD TO say something, so I came up with a casual ‘Hey thanks for the blogs, they’re great!’ .. smooth, right ? He was soooo surprised and wondered if we were really talking to him. Carla said his name and he felt even more embarrassed ! That was cute. He really is a nice guy and kind enough to take some of his time (it was pretty late) to stop and chat with us. Take a photo as well ! So, we talked about a lot of things and we said we would see him the day after in Antwerp (and we did =D See his blog ! Yay! ). Afterwards, we met Reno Bo (Albert Hammond Jr’s bass player), and he was very kind too. We took a picture, we talked and later he came back to see us to give us some setlists and the sheet of their schedule, and he signed them ! It was lovely ! I was really really impressed by how people had been SO amazing to us all day long ! It was that security guard’s turn to be helpful and kind. He kept looking at me through the window. I thought he wanted us to leave but he was smiling. And then he came out and told us Chris was still there ! I cant believe he just told us OMG ! and gave us updates about when Chris was supposed to leave and everything ! Weeeee !
AND AND AND, IT HAPPENED !!!! CHRIS MARTIN was coming right to us ! OMG OMG OMG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cant described how it feels, really cant ! but I know it’s really close to heaven ! Haha ! it’s just so impressive, you’ve been dreaming about that day for sooo long and you imagined that scene in all the different scenarios possible BUT you never think it’d be that perfect ! Chris seemed so shy, I mean after all these successful years and all the great things that happened to him, he’s still amazed when he sees three desperate girls waiting in the rain after a concert for him to just sign something. I bet it’s like part of his everyday life but still, he’s not used to it ! He was so sweet and kind, and he just took his time and was in no rush even though people were waiting for him to get inside that car. It didn’t last long but more than I would’ve ever expected ! and then after we took a pic and talked a bit, we told him we would see him in Antwerp to which he replied : ‘okay see you tomorrow!’ (AND HE DID !!!!!!!!!!!! See reviews for Antwerp =D). and then when he was inside the car, as we were waving at him to say bye and just knocked a few times on the tinted windows as a reply to our waving !
Was it like the best night ever ? HELL YEAH DEFINITELY !!! what could make it even better ? maybe, if he’d recognized us the next day… oh wait, HE FUCKING DID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
