Review

My concert experience started quite early. I had to leave from upper Connecticut at 2 o' clock to get to the pavillion on time, as the show does not start until 8. Hit a bit of rush hour traffic when we (me and my concert go-er) actually got to Boston, but that was alright.

We got there a bit early and paid an obsurd amount of money to park, but everything was still fine and dandy. What really fascinated me was when I opened my car door, I could actually hear the guys (of Coldplay) doing sound check. It was brillant. We were standing there for about 15 min and it was amazing. It seems as though the guys actually knew that we were listening to them and shouted,"....and that's our sound check!" (well, Chris did) when they were done.

After that, me and my concert go-er decided to get something to eat, so we went to this cute little resturaut for an early supper. So, we went out on the deck of the resturaunt and now we could hear Ash doing there sound check. That was also very incredible, as I like Ash as well.

So, after dinner, we went back to the box office and waited to get in. About 30 minutes later, we were roaming the beautiful surrondings of the Pavillion. So, we sat down, watched Ash for about 30 min, although it seemed longer than that. And they did a really good job, I was very impressed.

We then waited for Coldplay to come on. It seemed to be taking a while, so my concert go-er and I decided to go get some t-shirts. Of course, just as we purchased them the lights when out in the pavillion, signifying Coldplay is on the stage. I ran to get back to my seat (which was a pretty good seat, good veiw - besides me being extremely short). I got back just as the beat of Politik started and I was like, "phew."

The Setlist went in this order:

Politik

Shiver

Spies

Daylight

Trouble

One I Love

Don't Panic

Everything's Not Lost

Green Eyes

God Put a Smile Upon Your Face

Yellow

The Scientist

A Rush of Blood to the Head

Encore:

Clocks

In My Place

Life is for Living

I think it was somewhere between the 3-6th song that the four surprise screens came down and the second one to the right, Chris's screen, went blue and a small sign came upon it that read "No Data", but that's alright, it was still good. Chris didnt realize it until probably 1 or 2 songs later and said,"Sorry for the disformed screen. That's what what happens when you buy things off the home shopping network. They tend to backfire." Everyone laughed. I thought it was quite funny myself.

Chris also talked about Areosmith and how Coldplay is not hard rock and did a little lyric change to the first lines of trouble to fit the Areosmith mood. What the lyrics where I can't remember. But it was funny. They also did a spoof on "Hot in Herre" by Nelly. That was nothing short of hilarious.

Chris also had a hard time spitting out the last few lines of "God Put a Smile Upon Your Face" and mumbled them as fast as he could. Some inside joke I am thinking is why he was laughing in the first place. But that was also funny. All in all the concert was brilliant. Completely worth the time and money. But what I would have liked, is if they played a longer encore. The concert was awesome.
