This was the second time I saw Coldplay live and again the band did not disappoint. I sat front row (Row A – seat 8) off to the right and as the night went on, I managed to get closer. One glitch...I whipped out my camera only to find I didn't take my memory card... AHHHHGGG!!!!!!! Oh well...
What a great performance both set list and energy. Chris has the energy of a 16 year old with running, jumping, laughing, and diving (with no fear) on the big yellow balloons until they popped!
The set list was pretty much the same as the night before. For me, the highlights were “What If”, “Trouble”, “Fix You”, and “Clocks”. Although I enjoyed all of the songs, I was hoping they would play “How You See The World” (which was on the set list) but they didn’t. After the show was over, one of the security guards from the band handed me the actual set list which was very cool.
Quick story: I used to work at Nassau Coliseum so I knew all of the security guards and ushers there. After the show, one of the guards took me and my wife back stage to see my old boss who I haven’t seen in over 8 years. As we hugged, and were talking, this tall, HUGE girl came in with the Coldplay pass around her neck and she rudely interrupted our conversation by opening her shirt a little and putting his tie on her opened shirt. This ignorant stalk of broccoli proceeded to say” Chicks who wear ties are hot.” Then she looked at me and goes “who the hell are you??” so I respectfully explained that I was just here to say a quick hello to my old boss and that I wasn’t there to bother anyone. She then goes “yeh yeh yeh, no pass, get out!”
I was blown away on how rude, mean and disrespectful she was to not just myself, but to my wife as well. She was security for the band (obviously) and she escorted us to the door. We were treated like a red headed step child or the ugly girl at the dance. It was just wrong on every level. I know the band needs tight security, and that is great but there are ways to treat people. Especially fans. She even asked me “are you with the show?” I wanted to say “yeah, I’m Chris Martin I just changed my shirt and dyed my hair brown...” I felt sort of like crap after that…
But, my wife then suggested we hit Wendy’s on the way home and everything seemed to a lot better after a spicy chicken sandwich!
GREAT SHOW! Thanks again guys for a great tour and for playing “Trouble”!!
That’s all for me!

“I’m warning you — I’m in an extremely good mood; I’m expecting a baby soon.”
Chris Martin made my weekend two nights in a row. Moving from the main floor to side stage, lower level, I enjoyed my great view of the band, who are absolutely on their game–personal and passionate and totally professional.
At least twice, Chris commented on how the crowd exceeded his expectations. Now, it’s hard to find a fellow fan having as much fun as me — but people were as friendly (although not as drunk or wild) as in New Jersey.
I still don’t understand why some folks feel compelled to talk during a show (as some near me did during R. Ashcroft, prompting me to move) or constantly play with their phones — an activity Chris M. apparently condones (”Cell phones is cool”). Seeing all the waving lights during “What If” was inspired, but I wonder what it would be like if people just turned them off and got more into the show.
Into the show, indeed. An unparalelled ecstasy could be found at the close of Clocks, a stunning climax that sent the whole place into a deafening post-orgasm moan.
At the close of Fix You, I grabbed my coat and sprinted to the car, motivated by Martin’s leaping and dashing acrobatics, the best, of course, being his mad lap to the back of the building during In My Place.
As Chris warned of his mood during the opening strains of Square One, I want to carry that joy home with me on the plane and back to work today. We certainly all need the love that Coldplay carries every time we hear their hooks, in a big hall or privately on headphones.

What an Amazing show! This was the first true rock show i have ever gone to...and i can safely say my expectations were succeeded and surpassed!
We got there extra early because i needed to see Richard Ashcroft...there was a great laugh in agreement when he said, "This is my new single, this next track you can hear on the radio, ...or not..F*CK RADIO" And right before the song everyone was waiting for, he said "does anyone know what its like to write a classic.." followed by of course Bittersweet Symphony! And after a short break, COLDPLAY!
I believe everyone pretty much knows the set list, and Square One pumps up the crowd like a balloon and we stay that way till the end of the encore! I took plenty of pictures and such and looking at them over and over again reminds me of the amazing lights and the show the boys put on.
Highlights include 'Ring of Fire', Chris running through the crowd, popping the un-popped balloons from 'Yellow' (if you visit my homepage below, you can see it), Johnny and Chris laying down while performing 'White Shadows', Chris running through the crowd, the sing along song of 'TROUBLE'.
I went to this show with someone who knew nothing about Coldplay, safe to say she's wanting to learn more and more; if her dancing and laughing were any clue.
Their are too many highlights to count, and plenty of professional cameras their as well, wonder what for? Either way, CANT WAIT till God willing i can see them again.
